Washington Grain Commission FY 2025/26 Budget: $8.36 million

Approved at our May 2025 board meeting, the Washington Grain Commission’s FY 2025/26 budget of $8.36 million reflects a 14.7% increase over our previous year’s budget of $7.29 million. Notable increases include an 11% rise in market development funding and a 39% boost in education. Research continues to grow and remains our largest budget category at nearly $2.5 million. Grower services funding increased slightly by 1.8%, while professional services and policy development saw modest decreases of 3.4% and 5.7%, respectively. 

Overall, our 2025/26 budget reflects the Commission’s commitment to investing in the programs and activities that effectively promote Washington grain to international buyers, educate consumers, and deliver long-term value to Washington’s wheat and barley growers.
