The WGC budget of $6.28 million was approved at its May 2020 meeting
The budget is down from $6.93 million last year. The budget decline is tied to lower prices and smaller crops. Research is taking nearly 35 percent of the budget with marketing coming in at more than 21 percent. The WGC will invest $2,171,284, in research, down from $2,522,395 last year, but with an emphasis on ensuring farmers’ cor interests remained at the previous year’s allocations.
