Barley Production

Washington planted 80,000 acres of barley in 2024, which is slightly down 5,000 from last year. Harvested area, at 70,000 acres, is slightly down 6,000 acres from 2023. Barley production in Washington is 4.62 million bushels, up 3.8% percent from last year with yield estimated at 66 bushels per acre, up from 53 bushels per acre from 2023.
